Everything is relaxed and fairly informal. We don't 'dress-up' to attend church and wouldn't expect you to either!
We don't have any set form of words and we sing a mixture of traditional and more modern hymns. All of the words to hymns and songs and anything else with which the congregation are asked to join in is shown on a large video screen - no bits of paper or books to find your way around. There is no fixed pattern and services are led by clergy - including, of course, our minister, Wendy - or by lay people from within our congregation or elsewhere in Gloucestershire.
There are no expectations about what you must do, although we do ask that people don't interrupt the service. Laughing at the preacher's jokes is permitted!
On the 4th Sunday of each month we include 'Communion' in the service when, by eating bread and drinking symbolic wine, we remember Jesus' death and what it means for Christians. You can either observe, or take communion if you are a Christian.
Services normally last about an hour and are followed by tea or coffee for those who want to stay and chat.
If you want to find out what one of our services is like then have a look at our 'Audio and Video Recordings' page.
